Historic West End Partners
Historic West End Partners (HWEP) is a nonprofit development organization dedicated to preserving, promoting, and advancing Charlotte’s Historic West End. HWEP works with businesses, neighborhood organizations, public agencies, and other stakeholders to advance equitable development, economic opportunity, housing, transportation, revitalization, and long-term investment while honoring the area’s history and cultural legacy.
5PCC and HWEP serve Charlotte’s Historic West End through complementary roles.
HWEP focuses on the physical environment by advancing redevelopment, housing, businesses, public spaces, transportation, and long-term investment.
5PCC focuses on social infrastructure by strengthening neighborhood involvement, public participation, and local engagement.
By investing in both people and place, the two organizations preserve the Historic West End’s legacy while helping it thrive for generations to come.
